The earthquake in Croatia

At the end of December 2020 and during January 2021, several earthquakes shook the Republic of Croatia. The most devastating of them was the magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale with the epicenter near the town of Petrinja. This earthquake, which occurred on 29 December 2020, caused a huge human tragedy and enormous material damage. In some cases the demolition of residential buildings, schools, hospitals, churches, business facilities.

In addition to the technical support provided to Croatian colleagues, in the form of assistance in assessing the usability of some damaged buildings in Petrinja, the Serbian team will have at its disposal the documented consequences of the earthquake on the facilities (primarily in terms of construction practice and technical regulations).
